Red, White & Free: Reclaiming Patriotism
Studios @ 5663 invites artists to explore and interpret the concept of patriotism in ways that challenge traditional or dominant narratives. Artists are encouraged to create works that provoke thought, reflection, and dialogue on what patriotism means in diverse contexts and communities. Open to all visual art media, such as paintings, sculptures, and photography. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of patriotism that goes beyond nationalism or unquestioning loyalty, emphasizing themes of inclusivity, social justice, and critical engagement with history and society.
Special Instructions
Submission Guidelines:
Open to all mediums accepted: painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc.
Submit up to three pieces for consideration.
Include a brief statement (150 words max.) about each submission as well as its title, dimensions, media and price.
