Information

Roseate spoonbills are Florida's other pink bird. Their odd bill is used to sift food from shallow water. In this woodblock print, pink bird and sunset clouds merge with cool shadows. The bird's scientific name and alpha code are carved into one of the blocks. Part of my series of dramatic woodblock bird portraits, it was drawn, carved, and printed by hand in my St Petersburg FL studio.
