Information

A nest has birds bursting out in all directions, creating an icon to rebirth and the circle of life. This print was inspired by a bird's nest from my garden; I carved the nest at actual size on a woodblock panel. The birds, leaf and square shapes were scizzor-cut from rubber matting and glued to a board, a relief printing process called collagraphy. I like how the complex carved nest image contrasts with the simple cutout collagraph shapes.
