In my studio on a shelf just above my light table sit my collection of bees (yes they are very real), and if truth be told it was due to their insistence in wanting to part of the creative process that this work was done. Small and often viewed as annoying "wee beasties" they are ingrained into our story and our continuing existence. They inspire me everyday.
This work started with a Cyanotype Negative Print of arranged dried flora/flowers, Cicada wings, wicker balls, pulled metal springs, glass discs, and a visiting bee.
