Information

This Scratchboard piece is 5x7 and mounted on a high-quality giclee reproduction of an archival photo of the Dachau concentration camp. The Scratchboard depicts the unknown camp prisoner memorial at Dachau. I visited the camp twice while stationed in Germany. It is a sobering realization of how evil the Nazi regime was. The sign is translated as "work sets you free." The Nazis highjacked this phrase from 19th century German and French literature.
