This piece pays homage to the portal which all life emanates from.
The canvas is a knot hole from a tree that very well could have provided shelter for some creature.
The sapphire toned pubic hair comes from metal shavings that peel off when a pipe threading machine cuts threads.
The heat of the process turns the shavings the translucent color.
Careful observation reveals the sweet spot, the clitoris, represented
by a spent bullet found on a Detroit sidewalk.
Providing the inner walls theme is a piece of fabric with a cosmic, celestial theme. Atop is part of a pine cone with sapphire Swarovski crystals.
Underneath the "clitoris" is part of a pine cone.
