Information

One of my favorite subjects, the great blue heron, is the largest heron native to North America. A large wading bird in the heron family, common over most of North America and Central America, as well as the Caribbean and the Galapagos Islands. Herons are mostly associated with freshwater wetlands, and the great blue heron typically haunts marshes, swamps, and river and lake edges.
