A black man hangs off the side of the couch as the ambient light from the television and window illuminates his back and derriere.

I love using colors to dictate and establish a mood. This time I wanted to work with blues, purples, and pinks to give variety to black skin. To challenge my skills, I incorporated a detailed background. I feel people can know to see themselves and participate in the scene. The biggest payoff was the color scheme. The colors create this vibration that intensifies the need to move closer to the model as if the model has a siren's call or magnetic pull.
