Information

This painting is part of a series entitled "Flaming Florida" in which I depict the beautiful flora and fauna of Florida, but with a hint of danger. The underlying tension refers to the encroachment of Civilization upon Nature. Mother Nature will always protest, as in the case of the waterlilies in the painting. But she is also powerful and resilient, represented by the imposing stand of the King's Crown flower.
