Information

First off, I am aware that I utilized the wrong phobia when naming this piece. Trichophobia comes from the Greek words that mean "hair" (trichos) and "fear" (phobia). I assure you, no hair was utilized, other than in the paint brushes, in the fabrication of this piece.
The condition this piece would most appropriately be named is Trypophobia, which comes from the Greek words that mean "hole" (trypta) and "fear" (phobos). Alas, when it was fabricated and named, I selected the wrong one. So here's to not going back and correcting my mistake! Kind of like life, no redos. Live and learn.
So this syndrome can lead to symptoms that interfere with everyday life. This piece represented to me the facing and subsequently conquering of fears in my own life. It is accomplished by the ever evolving compartmentalization of fears of many things, most importantly the unknown. Fear, albeit a powerful tool, I have made the conscious choice to lead with hope. It is far more sustainable. So instead of being stricken with fear, it is my sincere hope that this piece makes your dream of the unimaginable.
