This is an art piece I constructed with coax transmission cable wire, masonite board and plywood. Because my original concept was a coffee table, it's constructed to be sturdy and durable. The construction process started off with a large piece of masonite board and plywood for the base. I then drew out the image on the wood and followed that as a guide to glue and staple individual cut pieces of coax transmission cable wire. In my final step, I sealed it with an epoxy resin overlay. I was able to construct this piece with mostly recycled materials. The end result is "The Electric Elephant". It's a little loud, a lot to look at, and always the elephant in the room.
