Life takes all of us through our own journey. We all endure good times, bad times and everything in between. My life took a turn when I was diagnosed with a rare chronic illness. After my diagnosis, seventeen years ago, people still look at me differently and don't really see me. While painting Mixed Up, my thoughts took me to a place of how, at times, I feel shut down, unheard and not seen. Having "something" doesn't define who you are. It's a part of you. Acrylic paints with silver foil and recycled metal. 36x24x1. Framed
