The Helix Nebula, also known as "The Eye of God", is an example of a planetary nebula that sheds its outer layers near the end of its evolution.
I created both the poem and the painted imagery as a testament of all that is possible as we shed our own layers and give ourselves over to our own evolution.
As with each of my pieces, there are small "Easter Eggs" sprinkled throughout the piece for those so inclined to dive deep into "The Blue Unknown".
