I have always loved bats. The chaotic frenzy of a cloud of bats feasting on thousands of insects per hour is a stunning sight to behold. My bat neighbors only use the fancy high rise I built for them as a vacation home, but I am grateful for every mosquito they eat. This piece began with a layer of gray monotype, followed by a stenciled suggestion of a treeline. The relief was printed over that, with hand inking as a final step to illustrate the chaos of the cloud's movement. This is a variant edition of 9.
