The Vincent Van Gogh Immersion experience haunted my imagination days and weeks after I attended. Many of the strong images were his floral work. It was both angular and curvy at the same time. How could that be? The constant motion of his brush strokes evoked something in me. It was as if he was in a hurry to get somewhere.
The evolution of this piece surprised me. It began as a bouquet of flowers. It wasn't long before that wasn't working the way I envisioned. As I adjusted the shapes, Vincent began to appear. As an artist, I wanted to reinforce his spirit. I "listened" to him as he became surrounded by flowers. My flowers are angular, curvy and in flux. Allow yourself to feel the power and the mystery of this acrylic painting.
