All of the bird's color comes from compiling photos of different flowers I've taken during our RV adventures. She's an expression of the great abandon we felt when we sold our home and went on our five year journey across the USA.
I heard or read this phrase somewhere in our travels and wrote it in my journal. I've searched for the author to no avail. If anyone happens to know the origin, I would love to know.
These little works are all pages from my digital journal. This was my first adventure into using a digital means to draw. I participated in The 100 Day challenge with a goal of teaching myself how to use a drawing app called Procreate. For 100 days I drew every day, and now I'm sharing these drawings with you.
I'm presenting them in a small format to retain some of the charm of little pieces of journal art. I love to print on wood panels. It makes it easy to hang, with no need for a frame.
All of my art is available for print on paper or wood. This piece is the first print of this work. Signed and dated with the day of this exhibit.
