I painted "Wildlife Refuge" Plein Air over two mornings this winter at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, located west of Boynton Beach, FL. I was attracted to this scene because of the dappled light coming through the trees that framed the view of the observation deck. The cacophony of birds chirping, frogs croaking, and alligators crunching on turtles provided an inspiring soundtrack as I painted.
