Information

This piece was inspired by a recent current event that left a lot of people emotional. It just became reminiscent of a time in our past that came back to mind.

Persecution, unfortunately, is a repeating pattern, it hits different groups of people at different times in history. When the news broke of certain rulings, for some reason the image of the Salem Witch trials emerged.

In this piece, the emotion it invokes for the viewer was my focus. The main emotions of anguish, despair, fear, anger, helplessness and finally acceptance of a demise, for this human being.

In the background, I faintly put in people with different reactions to the scene in front of them. By their homes you see a crowd of shadows behind the persecuted. Some cheering and some tightly holding themselves at the scene they're watching. Although they are not the focal point of the scene, I felt the mixed reactions from the onlookers in the background, mirror what is happening in our current events today. Some are cheering for these results and others are quivering in fear.

Although this is some of the simpler pieces I did, I think it brings out the array of emotions we encounter as humans.
It needs to be seen.
