Information

This unique, signed fine-art original makes a bold statement in any room of your home. A local art gallery was exhibiting stripes in wall art. As I was enjoying morning coffee in my garden, I spotted this beautiful red-orange hibiscus in full bloom. The colors were so saturated with light striping that an idea began taking form. As much as I loved the hibiscus, the leaves were not very inspiring. Still sipping coffee, I continued my garden walk. The district leaves of the Calathea Orbifolia called to me. Their striking green and white striped leaves transport you to the tropics. Coffee finished, I was off to my studio to paint. This painting was part of the gallery exhibit.
