Information

Baldassarre Cossa
Otherwise known as the Antipope John XXIII, was a born pirate who joined the priesthood later in life, but true to his pirate nature, he took advantage of a schism in the church, and literally stole the Papal Stole, naming himself Pope in 1410. He reigned for 3 years until he was removed and tried for his crimes.

This piece is a collaboration between machine and man. Conceived from mere words, rendered by AI, extrapolated to a 3 dimensional model, printed in layers and finished, painted and embellished by Michael Trefry.
