Information

Done in a style reminiscent of Gustav Klimt, The figure of death carries away a Maiden a stand in for life. She throws her head back in a state of ecstasy and restfulness, while death carries her gently as if she is a precious and delicate bride. Beside them is the tree of life.

In this painting I have included symbols that I have created with the influence of Klimt's symbolism about death, life and cosmology. Even the colors and tree of life include references to MDMA, a chemical released in the brain upon death.

This work is meant to be hung without a frame.
