Information

There are thousands of beautifully colored and unique birds found in the Amazon Rainforest. Their habitat is the canopy layer of the forest, the umbrella shaped layer of tree tops that provide food and protection from predators. This layer is so thick with branches, leaves and vines that birds need to find gaps within the vegetation to navigate. This unique hummingbird has found an opening and is diving for dinner.
