This work started out as an experiment with a new type of paper that I thought might work for watercolor. To my surprise the paper repelled the medium and I got this blotchy texture but still a captivating visual. From there it just sort of evolved. Added some acrylic which the paper took fine and created a smooth part of the picture. Love the leaves on the right as they feel like late fall foliage where the vivid colors are totally gone and we're left with forms becoming skeletons of their former selves before they recycle back onto the earth.
