I've been playing with AI-generated art, and I find myself repeatedly drawn to a specific "style" provided by the app. But it almost always generates a beautiful young woman in the center. For this piece, I wanted to use the lushness the AI makes, but apply it to an older woman who is clearly experiencing emotional pain. The contrast creates a more compelling image by causing you to think about why the word "beautiful" is normally reserved for youth, femininity and calm emotional states.
