"Over and Under"

Over and Under is a mixed media encaustic painting. Encaustic which means "to burn in" is an ancient method of painting with layers of beeswax and heating the surface to bond the layers together. The medium creates a subtlety or veiled appearance.
Created after Covid,thepainting expresses how we can overcome difficulties no matter how bogged under we feel. The colors relay a brightness that reflects optimistic hope.
