"Spirits of the Rani / Spirits of the Queen" marks the inception of a fresh collection nestled within the grander series, "Hu Atma Chu / I Am a Soul". These creative works explore the distant yet profound connection to my South Asian heritage, illuminating the journey of healing, celebrating resilience, personal growth, soul empowerment, and the sustainability of this ongoing transformation that continues to blossom along the way.
Each artwork in this collection serves as a boundless canvas where a Rani / Queen claims her realm, commencing with the realms that resonated most deeply with my soul. Set against an enchantingly infinite universe, each colorfully radiant canvas includes paintbrushes of light symbolizing the soul's profound presence within the grand artistry of life itself. They are further infused with cultural references such as Gujarati script, mango / paisley, and henna shapes, intertwined with traces of nature, symbolizing an intrinsic connection with Mother Earth.
These ideas evolved from personal experiences, observations, and an ongoing process of healing. They transformed into digital collages, analog sketches, and further into tangible works of art through a multi-layered mixed media process, involving acrylic, iridescent black glitter, and the addition of gold leaf, infusing a soulful touch of empowerment.
