Information

October 28, 2022, at the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum near Anastasia State Park, where we were camping with friends. It had been overcast, cool, windy and raining intermittently the whole time we were there. My plan for photography that weekend has been seriously disrupted. But then our group decided to visit the lighthouse and museum. What a great decision that turned out to be. Completed in 1874, the lighthouse stands 165 ft, with 219 steps to the top. When I looked up the staircase before climbing to the top, I knew I had a clear shot. Shades of M.C. Escher! It's dizzying whether looking straight up or straight down!
