This painting is one of my Fences series. It represents the darker moments when struggling to overcome something and then there is a moment when things break apart and you overcome. The dark matte background is the obstacles we face with the bright lines representing the barriers breaking apart. The splattering of black and white is the confusion we feel that swirls around us, and that seems to melt away, like snow on a fence!
