What lies under these layers? We often only allow people to see what we want them to see. But our truest self, we keep tucked away, seldom making an appearance for others. Maybe, in the moments we are truly comfortable around our loved ones does it show. It takes bravery and a level of vulnerability that can make us feel naked, and stripped from these layers we build, knowingly or unknowingly, to protect ourselves.
