My work revolves around the idea of movement, and with this piece, I wanted to expand that idea. Through the combination of the flow of paint and the very geometrical lines, I wanted to create a piece that felt as though it was weaving in and out from something else, and also felt as though the paint was being "pulled" into a specific direction, as if by some outside force.
This piece was created during my monochromatic phase, so I naturally chose purple as a tribute to both my kiddo (who's favorite color is purple) and my favorite "Purple Rain" singer.
