Information

This work features the Roman goddess of wisdom, art and war, Minerva. Completed in January of 2019, she is the first in the series of divine feminine portraits "Paved in Skin". Her story is one of pain and triumph and a model for overcoming adversity. Subjected to an unimaginable oppression, her father trapped her within his own head. Though his intention to protect her, he stole the world from her, and stole her from the world, never to allow the pain of the world to reach her, but neither would the worlds joy. But the inherent strength within her could not be contained even by Jupiter himself.
