"The Venus of Willendorf is a small sculpture that is estimated to have been made 30,000 BCE. It was found at a paleolithic site near Willendorf, Austria. It is carved from limestone and tinted with red ochre. It is currently in the Natural History Museum in Vienna. It is believed to be an early fertility fetish or perhaps a Mother Goddess."-Christopher Witcombe
