This work on paper started with layering guaches, prisma colors, and pen & ink. Color was at the forefront of creation with the goal of evoking a feminine archetype and the power of the divine feminine. This piece was created during the 2020 lockdown in NYC when all NY artists were held up inside and kept away from their studios and the city that inspires them. The collaged black paper represents the continual motion and constantly changing that exists within everything. The power of the divine feminine rises and comes into her power when outside forces are at their darkest.
