Artist Statement

My goal is to show what I see, what we see, everyday through peculiar perspectives. In looking at the normal, abnormally, we can discover the possibilities of the imagination, and inspire others to think outside of the box, and to embrace the uniqueness of their vision, and to use that for the benefit of others.

Biography

Nick Rider is a photographer and visual artist born in Hawaii and raised in New York. Known for his creative thinking, he has always been able to imagine the possibilities beyond what you can currently see.

He enjoys mixing creative elements to transform a setting into a new whimsical one. He also specializes in shooting creative portraits that encapsulate a person's energy.

He draws inspiration from cinematic and cultural influences to highlight different aspects of the city of Buffalo through color, light and shadow. "
