As a figurative artist, I paint individuals reflected into an abstracted landscape-an environment which captures and defines their identities My refined painting process
deconstructs then reveals the complexity and indeterminacy of human emotions through a fragmented space-a vehicle allowing the viewer to question and engage
with the narrative. Preliminary sketches implement the use of technology and are combined with traditional techniques; hand-drawn organic grids, and mediums
including graphite, acrylic and oils. The resulting large-scale compositions utilize applied textures, patterns, and are framed within a rich color palette. Increasingly, I
use my own photography and frequently explore the reoccurring themes of multiculturalism, marginalized society, and the underdog. I believe that one's
environment strongly impacts world views, self-esteem, opportunity, and potential. I aim to encompass the role of listener, nurturer, initiator, and creator.
