It is said that the Gods pick artists at birth. The chosen ones are born with the umbilical cord wrapped
around their necks. Mine was wrapped twice. I like to believe I was chosen.
My artworks are visual translations of my deepest feelings and emotions. Torn between my home Country,
Lebanon, and the United States where I currently live, art becomes for me a space of reconciliation. I
process the brutality as well as the beauty of our times through images. Using different techniques I can
explore different states of mind and convey multiple messages. Through my art, my personal stories
become universal as they speak to any people all over the world.
My work is in constant evolution as I am. I like to think at myself as a long life learner, and I believe that I
will never stop growing and experimenting through art
Rody Sakr was born in 1989 in Lebanon, he lives and works in Massachusetts. He grew up in Lebanon
between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, in a land rich in history and philosophy, at the
crossroads of different cultures and mythological empires. The artist has absorbed those multiple
influences and has drawn inspiration from nature and from his deepest feelings. The result is a complex body of
work showing many techniques. He was able to blend together 15 years of experience as a
sculptor and accessories designer with an evolving practice as a painter and illustrator. Painting allows the
artist to dive deep into his emotions and tell stories about the complexity of life from his personal
perception. The artist has been exhibited in different the United States and Europe shows. As an
artist, Rody Sakr is a work in progress. He always tampers with new mediums and techniques and his practice is
in constant evolution.
