Artist Statement

All people should have an appreciation for art. Art gives depth to our lives. Whether we practice it or simply enjoy it. Art makes you a better, fuller, a richer person. If you have a privileged life, art can complement that. If you are not in a position of privilege, art can supply you with hope and certain comforts. I'd like to believe that art is vital to our well-being. It gives a place of comfort, well-being and hope. It centers, comforts, and gives peace and joy.

Biography

Levi Johnson Jr. is a multi-talented man who is a true renaissance man.
He creates art in many mediums, painting, pastels, found object art, and boutonnieres/brooches from hand painted pine cones.
He calls his pins Fibonacci, named after the Italian mathematician.
Levi is lead singer in three bands; The Saints of Soul, Polyester Players, and his own band: Pearl Handled Necktie.
Levi also is a self-taught Kalimba player and was trained singing gospel in church.
