Christina Petti Artist Statement

As an artist I am working with the concept of how pop culture promotes the female form, and how 'image' has been created both within the journalistic and cinematic mediums, targeted towards the female audience; to 'inform' women that anything other than a 'perfect body is the true perception of the accepted notion of beauty.
Using different mediums allows me to explore the beauty in the female form with abstract shapes and forms.
