Artist Statement

I usually let my work do the talking, but I'll try my best to write about what motivates me. In my work I mostly focus on people, who are at the edge of society. I am drawn to that, maybe because I am bit of an outcast myself. I want to show the world, that they don't have to be afraid of the unkonwn. I took pictures of girls who harm themselves, prostitutes, crossdressers and so on. I want to make these parts of society visible and tangible to the majority. Maybe I can achieve a bit of acceptance for the "weird" which is beauty and colorful

Biography

I was born in 1984, in Vienna, Austria. Due to my mother, a painter, I started to get in touch with art at an early age. In the beginning, I photographed my surroundings and friends in a playful way. Over time I've become more attentive and looked for the "human" moments that we encounter in everyday life. My studies in sociology sharpened my attention to my surroundings, be it artifacts or people in certain situations. I am also a sex ed and my works focus a lot on gender and bodies in general.
I took some classes on analog photography as well as development and printing. I have acquired most of the techniques I use through books and experimenting on my own.
Since 2016 I've participated in various exhibitions across Europe
