We are all about the power of art in finding oneself, and the power of the self as art. In finding and asserting one's identity fearlessly, we believe that one can inspire others to do the same. Freedom, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to justice are all tied in to who we are and what we do, and we hope to kindle the same fire in you. Live boldly, live fearlessly, live kindly, and don't allow oppression to steal the voices of those who most need to be heard!
Anarkised Collective consists of Emma Anderson and Leigh Knauz, a badass non-binary queer couple from Minneapolis. Leigh is a radio presenter and poet who loves drawing, modeling, acting, and photography with a confessional, transgressive, and at times erotic slant. Nature, spirituality (especially Pagan and Satanic), and personal (mis)adventures all inform their content and style. Some of their other influences are metal music (especially black metal), theatre, folklore, mythology, punk rock, true crime and dark history, goth music and philosophy, poetry (particularly Charles Baudelaire, Shakespeare, the Beats, and Emily Dickinson), language studies, anthropology, and classical art. Emma is a technical theatre worker whose interests include but aren't limited to anarchist philosophy, classic punk music, drawing, painting, photography, and fighting for underrepresented voices of all kinds to be heard. Both hate bigotry, love their city, value compassion and humanity, and seek to find beauty wherever possible. You might find them backstage at nearby theaters, in local radio stations, or losing themselves in the nearest mosh pit.
