My parents are artists and from an early age I was encouraging to try many different media, while also receiving their instruction. As an 8-year-old I even attempted wood sculpting with my father. A talent for drawing was evident at an early age and I would hide in my large closet with a lamp and draw. My art classes in high school had my work around the perimeter of the room and I was allowed to roam campus and paint whatever I liked.
Decades later, I am finally able to fulfill one of my dreams of spending the majority of my free time working on my art endeavors. The satisfaction I receive simply from the creative process is something I find I cannot live without.
As a child I was surrounded by artists and I was encouraged to experiment with art myself. I began doing portraiture as a teenager and have carried on throughout adulthood. I have continued to pursue my interest in various mediums, including watercolor, acrylic paint and pencil. My work is in many private collections and has been shown through artist studio events in Sonoma County and through private showings.
