Artist Statement

Art, for me, is communication. It's therapy. It's a voyage to hidden places that my abstracts can reveal. It's all of that and more, and it evolves from image to image.

Biography

Creating abstracts started out as a form of therapy for me. It has since allowed me to communicate to others in a way I'd have never had without it. I've always loved photography, and I've used those images as the basis for my abstracts. From well-known locations to intimate images of flowers, birds, and landscapes, I have found my inspiration. Few viewers would see my abstract "Grand Jeté" and realize that it was created from an original photograph of rare vases. Recently, viewers have begun to notice what appear to be faces of spirits in my abstracts. I can't explain their appearances, only that they are completely unplanned and without my conscious choice.
