My subject matter is often nature and the human condition, though I also draw inspiration from the sciences, travel, and dreams to offer distinctive interpretations of experiences brought to life through the strokes of a paintbrush. Watercolor is my primary medium as I love the flow, finality, and the required adaptability on the part of the artist. I may start a piece knowing exactly what I want and it turns out precisely the way I envisioned. However, there are many instances the piece takes on a life of its own. My patrons will often hear me speak on what my original intention was and how I learned and grew as an artist as the work took became what it wanted and was meant to be.
