Artist Statement

I create art to bring beauty into peoples lives and homes. Art is the best way to express yourself as an artist and as a buyer. I want to make art more easily accessible to those who wouldn't normally be able to buy it. On my website, I have a range of sizes and prices as well as prints of some paintings to support the idea that everyone should be able to own beautiful art.

When I paint, my main focus is color. I love to use nature as inspiration. Nature is always beautiful and powerful. I love that color creates all that we see and influences what we feel. I use acrylic paint because I find it the easiest to work with. The easier the paint is to work, the better I feel I can create my vision.

Biography

I was born and raised in Ohio. I also live there currently with my loving partner, my two children, and one stepchild. We have four cats, all with their own distinct personalities. I am known to love the "dark and spooky" side of life. But I also love to be out in nature. I find beauty in things sometimes considered taboo.

I didn't go to any fancy art school. I've simply always loved art and have always had a knack for it. I use art and creativity to release the energy that I let build up inside. When I paint, I have an idea of something that would look pretty, and I try to convey that beauty on the canvas. I am heavily inspired by nature, but I also love to let my imagination run wild. One of the greatest things that I've been able to do is inspire my kids to create and express themselves through art.
