Creating art is way for me to share my thoughts, ideas, and especially some of my memories with my children. Storytelling, that has an accompanying visual, allows for a higher level of detail when reliving a memory that I want to share. My paintings are how I have seen things in my life. Hopefully others, through their own imagination, may also connect with them.
Wendy Graham was born and raised in Portland, Maine and served in the United States Army for more than 28 years. She has lived and worked abroad in multiple countries, immersing herself in many cultures. She studied art history in college and after visiting museums in Paris, Amsterdam, and other locations, she became interested in artists' painting techniques and inspirations. Wendy has lived in Tampa, Florida since 2016 and calls it her fever home. She is self-taught and is inspired to create art that hold strong memories, that are usually heavily textured acrylics, and that use as many repurposed materials as possible.
