I primarily work with acrylic paint because I find the fast-drying time and easy clean up essential. I also enjoy drawing portraits with pencil and colored pencil, wire wrapping and making jewelry, hand embroidery and intricate bead mosaics. My work is detail oriented with a simple background. Lately, I have been working on a popular series of pet portraits with a highly detailed foreground of the pet with a bold outline and a solid color or color gradient background with a bold geometric design incorporated. I have also started to produce paintings of other wild animals with this same unique style and have made them available for purchase.
Skye Dolan is an artist born and raised in Florida and currently works out of the Tampa Bay area. Her journey into painting and drawing began at a very young age when she was taught by her grandmother, Doris. They would spend entire weekends together painting and crafting things.
