I am fascinated by consciousness and how it relates to our physical reality we exist within and experience. My work inspires to explain these complexities and can be described as Memorism, or the visualizations of my conscious thoughts and memories. My process for this combines many techniques along with elements of classic collage and cubism with surrealist juxtapositions to create memory-like symbolism. My current work consists of digital-art prints and traditional paintings on wood panel or canvas, along with uncommon materials such as; cardboard, paper, house paint, sharpie and sand.
C.G. Hall (b. 1982, Charles G. Hall III) is an American painter and printmaker from Tampa, FL. Raised near Florida's space coast by a teacher and an artist, his fascination for space and the sciences grew from a young age along with his love for the arts. Formally trained in the sciences and informally trained in the arts, he continues to dedicate himself to the study and mastery of his crafts. These deep connections translate directly into the symbolism portrayed in his artwork. Influenced by both classic and modern art; he currently works with various mediums and techniques to combine classic visual elements with abstract ideas and constructs. His artwork is held in private collections in the United States and has been exhibited across the Tampa Bay Area.
