Artist Statement

SΔMZ works speak to the complexity of human emotion and inner worlds, examining the many facets of self. Their works challenge the viewer to explore the depths of the human condition. The pervasive themes sit at the crossroads of play and seriousness, often hiding pain behind shiny objects, bright colors, and whimsical textures. Recycled mixed mediums encourage one to consider alternative uses for everyday materials and things. By testing the potential hidden in the ordinary, raising the mundane to the sublime, and bringing life to the lifeless, SΔMZ brings imagination and innovative thought to the minds of all. Observer, look beneath the veil, be curious, and find deeper meaning beyond what your eyes can see.

Biography

A creator of anything and everything; insatiably curious and wildly introspective. SΔMZ is a multi-medium artist living and creating in St. Petersburg, FL, tenuously held together by the unconditional love and unwavering support of their magnificent dog, Pip.
