My photography captures the wildlife and landscape that surround my Terra Ceia Island home and other favorite locations. I use my camera to document my surroundings, looking for moments or changes in light or shapes of things I see on a daily basis. My style has evolved from experiences as a photojournalist. I compose and edit mostly in camera, utilizing natural light. The images are digital processed and printed, which I mount, mat and frame, using wood salvaged from old houses, docks, fencing or live-edge lumber. The boards are weathered naturally, milled to size and sealed to highlight their character, resulting in a unique frame to complement the image it showcases.
While observing life through a lens, I am connected to water, enjoy the competition of sports, have a blast with rockets, sing with birds, howl at the moon, bask in the sun, soar above the clouds, smell the flowers and embrace the majesty of landscapes.
