To me art is what elevates life to actually living, as opposed to just surviving. Art contributes the aesthetic to the canvas of life, and without it our human existence would be very dull. This is why I want my art to transport you away from your everyday reality. I want you to feel something when you look at my paintings, and I want to bring a joy and beauty into your environment that will last a lifetime. Mostly, painting is my special happy place and I want to share the joy I feel in creating art with the world.
I paint with a variety of mediums in a contemporary style. All the original artwork is one of a kind, signed on the back and come with a sealed Certificate of Authenticity. Most originals come custom framed to enhance my vision of the painting and make it ready to hang and enjoy. All paintings are finished with archival varnishes.
Artist, Scuba Diving Instructor, Glass Studio/Gallery Owner, Entrepreneur, Mother, Friend, Volunteer... I find it difficult to put a simple label on myself, but if I had to pick one word it would be "creator".
I love to create things from scratch... this includes art, but has also included businesses, houses, business associations, books, and volunteer projects. But in all this, art has always been an important part of my life.

My art today is a product of my unique life experiences, and you will see themes from my life appear in my work (and described in my artwork descriptions with stories from my past to highlight my inspiration). My eclectic background makes for my eclectic art!
What you need to know about me is painting is my passion. I want my art to create an emotion within the viewer. I want my art to have a voice that speaks to people. The very best art should evoke a feeling when viewed, and that is my goal as an artist - to make people feel something profound when they look at my work.
I don't paint in one particular style because I need a wide rang in order to capture a particular vision for my works. I don't limit myself and that frees me to be more creative. Joy has no limits!
